Paralegal Law Clerk
Meet Devon Chien Hui Weng, a licensed paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario since 2021. She assists the firm in civil litigation and family matters, providing compassionate client support and procedural guidance to clients.
Devon holds both a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Law and Society and a Master of Arts in Socio-legal Studies from York University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in both programs. Her academic excellence underscores her dedication to understanding individuals’ unique and nuanced experiences with the legal system – no two cases are alike. She approaches each case with the sensitivity and precision all clients deserve.
With over 15 years of experience in the service industry, Devon is deeply committed to meeting clients’ expectations. She is relentless in her pursuit of information and legal research, ensuring to her best abilities that misinformation is addressed and that no detail is overlooked. Devon endeavours to ensure that every client feels respected and that legal facts are told accurately throughout the entire legal process.
In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, Devon is an active volunteer for StepStones for Youth, a member of the Canadian Law and Society Association, and a member of the Ontario Library Association. She loves connecting with locals around the world and has presented her research paper speaking on the limitations of circular economies and the rule of law at Social Science conferences in Indonesia and the University of Belgrade.
